Tattoo Therapy
Tattoos are changing lives. Many of you have had a life changing tattoo. You deserve healing that honours your body not just your mind.
Tattoos help people to reclaim their power by processing pain especially the internal pain we may be feeling. It makes the pain external writing stories which can be shared on your skin.
Tattoo therapy is the intentional use of tattooing to support emotional healing and mental health. It’s not just about the ink. We create a safe space for you to express your story, reconnect with your body and reclaim your identity.
Our studio is designed to be as peaceful and calming as possible. The tattooing process releases dopamine and oxytocin that are chemicals linked to bonding and emotional relief. It is a grounding process and we ensure that it is exclusive and personal. Enough time is allocated per client to ensure you get that VIP treatment. We offer various tools to help you through the process such as stress balls and various programs for you to watch, which make you comfortable.

Covered my scars and made me more confident
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with Cindy at Sticked Up Ink, and I can’t recommend her enough. She helped me with two tattoo cover-ups that carried a lot of weight from my past. What Cindy gave me was more than just beautiful artwork; she gave me a chance at healing.
The process was thoughtful, professional, and filled with care because before this I hadn’t known my skin type and the techniques needed for my tattoo processes. She took the time to understand not just what I wanted visually, but also the meaning behind why these cover-ups were so important to me. The results were incredible. My new tattoos aren’t just designs; they’re symbols of strength, resilience, and hope.
These cover-ups have helped me let go of the past and move forward with a lighter heart. They’re a reminder that I’ve been strong enough to walk away from things that no longer served me, and that I’m now building a future filled with hope.
Genuinely, I can’t thank her enough for not only transforming my tattoos but also playing such a meaningful role in my healing journey.
I got my first visible tattoo after my husband passed away in 2020. I only intended getting one, but that turned into a sleeve, into a backpiece, into leg and foot tats. And I did all that in a space of a year. In hindsight, my Tattoo Fest was an integral part of my healing journey from the trauma of losing my life partner of 20 years and now being a single parent. Somehow, it helped me process my anger and sadness in a tangible manner. The entire year of inking felt cathartic.
Like I was transforming my pain into purpose and regaining a sense of control. Obviously, some of my tattoos honored my husband and others symbolized my emotional state, but the body art was more than a visual way of expressing how I felt. The actual act of getting tattoed became a transformative ritual in itself. Cindy was my tattoo artist from the outset.
She provided a safe, non-judgmental space that allowed me to have open conversations about my loss and that of my child (who was 9 at the time). I felt understood and supported. I know that getting tattooed was a crucial part of my healing journey. It helped me to process my emotions and move forward. Today my tattoos are tangible reminders of my journey through pain and a celebration of my strength and resilience.
